So apparently when you are on maternity leave, and your almost 8 month old is finally having longer naps, you get the craving to craft. I saw these on pinterest awhile ago, so thought i’d give them a try. I bought some selfset air-dry clay and rolled them out into small, flat logs. I then used my small alphabet stamps and indented herb names into them.

I’ve been feeling a bit stir crazy lately with the weather changing from glorious summer sunshine to the dreary Vancouver fall rain, so after my daughter’s swim lessons yesterday, we ventured over to Granville Island via the False Creek Aquabus once the rain stopped and there was a bit of sunshine.

Our spare bedroom is nicer than our room at this point, and acts as my dressing room, however it’s relatively devoid of art. I had some old 16×16 square canvases that were covered in fabric from previous decor (also an easy option to create some quick art) and decided I was going to instead cover them with some sticky back shelf liner that I actually had from a previous project when I covered a steamer trunk which is now our coffee table (I’ll add that to the blog soon too).
