jars and labels
I’ve been feeling a bit stir crazy lately with the weather changing from glorious summer sunshine to the dreary Vancouver fall rain, so after my daughter’s swim lessons yesterday, we ventured over to Granville Island via the False Creek Aquabus once the rain stopped and there was a bit of sunshine.
I’ve been following The Delish General Store on Instagram and saw that they had these chalk pens, so in my need to do something fun and crafty while my daughter has her pretend 30 minute nap, I bought one and some black tape from Opus Framing & Art Supplies.
Diy succulent in tin can
It’s been a long time, but hopefully now I can spend some time on here and update you all with my extremely fascinating life. I am in bed now between 9-9:30pm and I have an almost 5 month old daughter. She’s the best thing to ever happen to me (and my husband). Enough with the sappy stuff.
My husband went to get propane for our BBQ as we apparently BBQ a lot, so while he was out having fun, I strapped on my daughter and wandered over to our local west end flea market (two blocks away – I couldn’t resist.
On a lot of tables were people selling succulent plants in old vintage tins for upwards of $40. I fully support local artists, but as I’m on maternity leave now and need small projects, I decided to make my own. $5 for the tin at said market and $5 for the plant, I now have my own vintage tin succulent plant. Everyone is happy now!
